How to Register: Please Call (831) 419-1226

(We will not be using the online registration below until later this year)

1. In the calendar below, click on the lesson you want to sign up for and complete the online form. We have 1 to 3 classes per day, scheduled according to the tides. We use our lifetime of experience and intimate knowledge of weather and tide cycles to schedule class times when conditions are best for our clients. Just click on the class time that works for you on the day or days you plan on taking your surfing lessons, and fill out the registration form.

2. After you fill out the registration form, you are in the class. You will be receiving a confirmation email, or call from us the evening before your class. You can always reach us at (831) 419-1226.  Please bring payment with you to class on your class’s date.  Classes will meet at the location provided to you after registration – usually near West Cliff Drive and Cowell’s Beach.

Open every day, and all year, except some holidays…

If you sign up, we promise to be here. If you register for a class, please plan on showing up because we have limited space available in each class time offered. If you have an emergency, please give us a call ASAP at  (831) 419-1226. If you absolutely cannot attend, we’d appreciate a courtesy call so we can release your spot to an alternate or be out surfing ourselves!

So that we can begin class without delay, please have cash or check ready when you arrive.

Class times are based on differing needs of clients. Usually we will have 2-3 class times each day. Just click on either the 1st, 2nd or 3rd Class offered on each day, depending on what class time fits your needs.

Typically, afternoons are better for complete beginners and kids and limited swimming skills. This is the most common choice for the casual surfer and tourists wanting an easier start. Mornings are better for follow up lessons, intermediate surfers and those wanting to continue their experience.

In the Spring and Summer the earlier class times are best if you want to experience easy waves over a long distance (like most surfers in Santa Cruz). Our afternoon times in the summer are geared more towards getting the basics down with a more convenient time and a warmer conditions…and you don’t have to go out into the ocean as far.

Either way, everyone gets a quality aquatic experience and has a great time regardless of the class time.

WE EXPECT YOU TO ARRIVE 15 MINUTES BEFORE THE SCHEDULED CLASS TIME AT THE MEET UP LOCATION PROVIDED AFTER YOU REGISTER. If you arrive before anyone else, please don’t call – just stretch, drink water and get comfortable. We will arrive by the scheduled meeting time at the latest. Plan on encountering traffic and unexpected delays on your way to your class and try to arrive early because we cannot delay a group lesson for one student who is stuck in traffic or eating lunch :)
